Expedition to come

Arvor

The last expedition of the Mission Plancton, Arvor will make the transition to our new projects. This expedition, organized in partnership with the Pacific Foundation, will take place over 3 weeks between the coasts of Brittany and the south of England, via the Isles of Scilly and Skomer Island. In all, around twenty students will have the chance to go on board the Mauritus to study the marine microbiome.

Atlantea

The expedition aboard Atlantea marks the beginning of the Plankton Mission. Its crew is committed to the search for plankton to deepen our understanding of the marine microbiome. For over 12 months, they will travel the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, from Brittany to West Africa, via Greenland, the Caribbean and Canada.

Alpine Lake

The Alpine Lake expedition marked the second stage of our Plankton Mission, following closely on from Atlantea. Designed to bring EPFL students closer to hands-on science, this 10-day adventure brought together some twenty students. This test platform enabled us to study the lake microbiome of our beloved Lake Geneva, while perfecting our various tools.
