Our values

A little story...

"I had just turned ten years old, when my passion for the sea turned into a certainty :

"When I grow up, I'll make it my life. "

The day I arrived at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, I realized that, in spite of the distance with the sea, despite the fact that the mountains had replaced the vastness of the ocean, I had never been as close to my childhood dream.

From there was born the ambition to bring closer the research world to that of adventure through passion.

Semester of study after semester of study, encounter after encounter, at the heart of the beginning of adult life marked by a physical confinement of two years, I saw around me the spirits opening up to new perspectives. Consciences were waiting to be awakened while realizing the gravity of the climate and ecological situation.

The need to give meaning to an education, a life of learning oriented, was growing day by day. The year of my eighteen years, after re-opening an old journal, dating back to when I was ten, which included a reference to this famous conference given by Ghislain and Emmanuelle Bardout in the port of Saint-Brieuc, as well as a newspaper article on the mission Tara saved for me by my great-grandmother, I decided to throw myself into a crazy project.

This project is the reason why you read these words today. Sailowtech brings together sailors, engineer·e·s, and student·e·s. But above all, we are young people turned towards the same horizon : put our passion, our love of adventure, our skills and knowledge at the service of the understanding and protection of our most precious resource : the Ocean. The most sustainable and ethical way as possible.

Discover, transmit and preserve. "
