Our route

20’000 nautical miles around the Atlantic Ocean

After two months of sailing off French Brittany to make the boat truly ours and carry out final tests with the scientific devices, the crew will set sail from Brest at the beginning of October 2023. The journey will take us across the Bay of Biscay and then along the coast with the aim of arriving in Cape Verde in early December via the Canaries, Guinea Bissau and Senegal. We will then tackle one of our two transatlantic crossings to reach Trinidade with an objective of arriving at the beginning of January. We will then have nearly four months to complete any necessary repairs, do as much survey work and educational actions with our local partners as possible in Caribbean waters, and prepare for the northbound trip along the US and Canadian East Coast. Then, heading for Greenland, surely the most trying part of the expedition. Our route will then take us from Iceland to the northernmost point of the European continent: North Cape. We will then sail along Norway, as well as some Danish islands for a return to French Brittany planned for during the autumn of 2024.

We will soon publish more details about the stopovers. To not miss anything, follow the adventures of the association on our social networks !
